2011 AIA Central Valley Design Awards

Once again, Comstock’s partnered with AIA Central Valley to produce the Design Awards program. The program colorfully presents up to a dozen 2011 award winners and exclusively debuted at the May 20, 2011 biannual AIACV awards banquet held this year at the Crocker Art Museum.

2011 Capital Region Office Guide

Comstock’s magazine, ACRE and BOMA Sacramento present the 11th annual “Capital Region Office Guide.” This guide features an all-encompassing list of the region’s office buildings and provides insightful information about various amenities each building or location provides. Editorially, the guide will features an article on how brokers steer clients to – or away from – Sacramento’s outlying suburban office parks. We also explore some of the latest in fire protection technology for buildings. Finally, the guide offers a pictorial on some of the region’s most fabulous lobbies.

Emergency Preparedness

All businesses are exposed to risk, whether it be fire, theft or flooding. This special section is designed to inform business owners and C-level management of how to prepare for disaster and the steps that should follow if one should occur. Comstock’s explores the importance of having a team of emergency professionals in place, an action plan set up to communicate with customers and what you need to know to get your operations up and running as soon as possible.

American Institute of Architects - Central Valley Chapter

Among this year's acclaimed projects in the AIA Central Valley Design Awards program are out-of-the-box public buildings, adaptive reuse residences and major aquatic infrastructure. Dozens of entries were submitted into categories for built and unbuilt projects. Comstock's proudly presents the winning firms: Lioankis, LPA Sacramento Inc., Vrilakas Architects, Applied Architecture Inc., ANOVA Architects, LPA Inc. and DLR Group.

The Big Build

Comstock's and the Sacramento County Airport System partnered to develop a supplement dedicated to presenting the exciting stories taking shape with the recently launched Central Terminal B Modernization project. Referred to as "The Big Build," the $1.27 billion terminal improvement and expansion program is the largest capital improvement project in Sacramento County history.

Yuba-Sutter Regional Supplement

In conjunction with civic, business and political leaders from throughout the Yuba-Sutter region, Comstock's presents its first special supplement dedicated to this two-county region. Among the many stories presented are: the general plan progress in both counties, infrastructure improvements, the Plumas Street renaissance and how local leaders are using a combination of small-town charm and increased big-city amenities to attract professional talent to the region.
