5th Annual Sacramento Beer and Chili Festival

Sacramento Artists Council, Inc., a local non­profit organization that works to keep art and music in Sacramento public schools, will host the fifth annual Sacramento Beer & Chili Festival on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

The Sacramento Beer & Chili Festival will include a competitive chili cook­off, beer tastings and live musical performances by local musicians, The California Stars and The Bitter Diamonds.

Proceeds from theSacramento Beer & Chili Festival will be donated to art and music programs for at­risk children and children of homeless families in Sacramento. Additionally, donations will help fund the Adopt­a­School Art Program for Sacramento regional schools.

The chili cook­-off will have four competitive categories: Individual, Industry, Vegetarian and Brewers. Industry competitors include last year’s winners Hook & Ladder Manufacturing Co and Willie’s Burgers.

Beer tastings will be provided by over 20 local and regional brewers including Rubicon Brewing Company, SierraNevada, Two Rivers Cider Company and Lagunitas. The festival is also dog-­friendly and bike parking will be available.
