New Disclosures Required for Commercial Lease in California – Effective January 1, 2017

On September 16, 2016, Governor Brown signed into law California Assembly Bill 2093 (“AB 2093”) which amends California Civil Code section 1938 and expands the disclosure requirements provided in California Senate Bill 1186 regarding certain American with Disabilities Act matters as they pertain to commercial leases.  As a result of Ab 2093, as of January 1, 2017, additional disclosures must be made to prospective tenants leasing commercial property.
