Positioning itself as one of the state’s safest, most livable communities, the City of Lincoln continues to enjoy strong investment interest. City leaders are focusing that interest to achieve a well-balanced array of residential, commercial, employment, educational and recreational opportunities all designed to retain Lincoln’s long vibrant history of being a place that families can call their hometown.

Lincoln’s authentic Downtown continues to define and refine itself with the backbone of a historic downtown that has been in place for more than 100 years. Success has built upon success over the past number of years with many exciting new and long-standing businesses, including specialty retail shops and restaurants, bars and pubs that range from fine dining to cozy eateries. Neighborhood commercial development is also prospering, as several new restaurants, shops and office spaces are popping up in all corners of the city’s residential villages.

Lincoln is fortunate to be served by Western Placer Unified School District, which provides the best in educational and extracurricular opportunities to Lincoln’s youth. The community’s ongoing investment in youth is evident in a number of recently completed and future planned educational facilities. The City of Lincoln participates by providing people of all ages a full suite of recreational programs, parks and entertainment options.
Several other collaborations exist among regional agencies focused on economic development, open space and habitat conservation, transportation services, water, solid waste services and others that support long-term growth strategies. The city, Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Lincoln Association regularly collaborate on special events, including one of the state’s largest Fourth of July parades and fireworks celebrations, the Lincoln Showcase in the fall, the annual Christmas parade and tree lighting, and other community traditions.
