This educational program was originally created in 1988 by the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara to connect architects with children and their parents. Now after almost 30 years, and much success, AIA Chapters will be hosting this family friendly sketching event on the same day across California!

Our region’s Kid’s Draw event will take place at the iconic Sacramento Valley Train Station, our city’s historic depot that was restored and renovated in 2017. The event is free and drawing materials, a light snack and water will be provided.  Event is open to children of all ages. (Children MUST have an accompanying parent or guardian 18 or older participate with them.) Bring your creativity and your curiosity and come sketch with architects!
