The Fourth Annual Northern California NAMIWalk will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at William Land Park in Sacramento CA from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The NAMIWalk is a community awareness and fundraising event sponsored by six local affiliates the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

NAMI is a national grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with mental illness and their families. Funds raised through this event are used to support NAMI programs in Amador, El Dorado, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Yolo Counties. All NAMI services, including telephone assistance, support groups, training classes and outreach events are offered at no charge to the community. This year’s Honorary Chairman is Darrell Steinberg, State Senate President pro Tem. Our major event sponsors include Heritage Oaks Hospital, Sierra Vista Hospital, Merrill Lynch, Sutter Center for Psychiatry and Turning Point Community Programs. Our Media Sponsor is Fox40. Entertainment will be provided by The Nickel Slots Band. All are welcome to participate. There is no charge to register as a walker, but participants are encouraged to solicit donations for NAMI.
