Outstanding Philanthropist

  •          Outstanding Organization
  •          Outstanding Fundraising Professional
  •          Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
  •          Outstanding Corporation
  •          Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy

Who Can Submit Nominations?

Nominations for any award may be submitted by individuals or organizations, regardless of whether they are an AFP member or not. You may submit more than one nomination in any category. All nominations will be considered in the year submitted, plus one additional year.

What Must Be Included With The Nomination?

Each nomination must include the nomination form (page 5) and an essay of no more than 1,500 words addressing the criteria outlined for each category (pages 2-4) – each criterion has several prompts for your benefit. While not required, letters of support are highly recommended. A maximum of three letters of support will be accepted for each nomination. Collaborative nominations are encouraged. Any incomplete nominations will not be considered. Please be sure to clearly articulate why your candidate merits consideration for the category you selected. Most importantly, write from the heart; themost compelling nominations addressing measurable ways how the nominees have directly impacted specific organizations and causes. Nominations are judged solely on the content provided.

Please note: Before nominating, the nominee must be contacted to make certain that they will accept the award (if chosen) and attend the awards luncheon event on November 13, 2018!
