Serving Sacramento and Placer counties from seven offices, Stewart Title of California ensures that real estate transactions close smoothly by verifying property ownership, managing the secure transfer of funds and documents, and coordinating all parties through the closing process.
Notable in this industry as a woman in leadership, Christy Ekstrand, president of Stewart Title’s Greater Sacramento Division, oversees all division offices including an outstanding team of women providing commercial escrow services.
Our local market experience and knowledge ensures our team consistently delivers the highest level of service to our clients when handling complex commercial and high-value real estate transactions.”— Christy Ekstrand, President of the Greater Sacramento Division
Escrow Officer Ruth Alexander and Assistant Katie Burres work from the Folsom office, offering deep knowledge, experience and passion for every transaction. “In the commercial sector, we frequently deal in high-dollar transactions,” says Ekstrand. “The ratio of commercial to residential escrow officers is about one to 10. We are proud of Ruth’s two decades of expertise, supported by the resources of Stewart Title of California. She and Katie are focused upon serving high-profile owners, lenders and brokers.”
Partnering seamlessly, Alexander and Burres provide escrow services for transactions valued in millions of dollars, giving the most thorough and professional attention to every entity involved. These transactions often include complex contracts and multiple attorneys contributing to the close of escrow.
If solutions are needed from the leadership level, Ekstrand provides that knowledge and authority. She says, “Our experience and knowledge as a team is helping this department grow, succeed and deliver to the needs of all parties within the transaction.”
One of Ekstrand’s goals is to broaden the geographic reach of this commercial team and make Alexander and Burres’ expertise available to the regions beyond Placer and Sacramento counties. Another focus is to identify and utilize the latest technology to further streamline Stewart Title’s commercial transactions.
“The next generation getting involved with commercial properties is very tech-savvy and driven by paperless transactions,” notes Ekstrand “Because of how intricate it is, the commercial realm has not been a paperless process, nor has it been highly technology driven. We’d like to help it become more streamlined and paperless where possible.”
Ekstrand, Alexander, and Burres will help take commercial clients into the future while maintaining the service values, integrity and professionalism Stewart Title of California has long been known for.
