Summer adventures continue! Venture out with Placer Land Trust as we explore nature under the full moon on Saturday, August 25 at our Big Hill Preserves. Our trained docents will be your guides for the evening, which starts at 7pm. 

The trail at our Big Hill Preserves has interesting rock formations, the beautiful Raccoon Creek, and panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada foothills and Sacramento Valley – all of which will look completely different at dusk and as the night grows darker. The moon light is sure to add to your visual experience. The hike is approximately 4+ miles, and you should expect it to take 3 to 4 hours. We try to slow it down a bit for safety since part of the hiking occurs in the dark.
