Sandy Delehanty is known for her glowing, layered watercolor paintings created by pouring transparent pigments onto wet paper. “Recently I have been drawn to painting water scenes,” says Delehanty. “Spending time sketching and photographing the rocks and water of Lake Tahoe, waterfalls in Yosemite, and geysers in Yellowstone has been good for the soul and inspired many of the paintings in this show. In a way, you could call this show an antidote to stress!”

Delehanty holds Master Signature Status in American Women Artists (AWA) and Signature Status in several prestigious watercolor organizations including the American Watercolor Society (AWS), Watercolor West (WW), and the California Watercolor Association (CWA). Her work has been juried into 74 national and international exhibitions, shown in eight U.S. art museums, and exhibited at the historic Salmagundi Club in New York City. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and a Secondary Teaching Credential from California State University, Chico.
