Join us for the 17th anniversary of the MLK Celebration Event! We invite you to join us for an exciting program that will commemorate the passage of the Civil Rights Act and pay tribute to Dr. King! 

The celebration will include dinner and program honoring Chett Hewitt President and CEO of Sierra Health Foundation along with the Robert T. Matsui Community Service Award for his outstanding service to our region. 

Keynote speakers include Judy and Dennis Shephard, founders of The Matthew Shephard Foundation, in memory of their 21-year old son, Matthew who was murdered in and anti-gay hate crime.

This event is organized by the MLK Committee a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. The MLK Committee is dedicated to the proposition that this annual Dinner symbolizes the principles of freedom and unity, and the celebration of diversity that highlighted the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
