Meet Presenter Monique Brown | I/O Labs
Monique Brown has over 20 years of experience working alongside creative leaders to capture their visions and design strategic plans to bring them to life. She adds the most value when developing partnerships, building networks and executing on projects, programs and events. She is happiest when positively impacting her team, company and community.
Brown is the Sacramento iHub director and Strategic Advisor for I/O Labs. She previously worked at Impact Venture Capital overseeing the growth and development of the Entrepreneurs Campus and Showcase activities and supporting the building and deepening of strategic relationships with corporate, foundation and government partners. Outside of work, Brown enjoys “reinventing philanthropy” with her fellow board members and partners at Social Venture Partners of Sacramento. But most of all, she enjoys hanging out with her five daughters and their two cats!

About the Big Bang! Business Competition
The annual UC Davis Big Bang! Business Competition provides free workshops and other events from October through April and concludes with pitches from five finalist teams at an awards ceremony in May.
The competition is open to everyone and provides a forum for college and university students, faculty, staff and the the public to collaborate, develop and test business ideas. You’ll find resources for mentorship, team creation, education and networking — and the winners receive cash prizes!
Participating in the Big Bang! provides a rich immersion in starting your business venture. But…you don’t have to compete to attend our workshops and build your entrepreneurial skills and network.
