At City Year’s Opening Day ceremony, young leaders from across the country pledge to serve a year of their lives to making an impact in the lives of the students and communities. Opening Day ceremonies are the literal and symbolic beginning to a new year of helping students to change their educational outcomes and their futures as a whole.

City Year Sacramento is beginning its third year in service to the Sacramento community with an energetic pep rally that will include our new AmeriCorps members taking the City Year pledge.

Join us on the South steps of California’s state capitol on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
