Classical Concert: Black Cedar, guitar, flute, cello

Back Event Jun 12, 2016 @ 3 pm

In the final week of the exhibition “Andy Warhol: Portraits,” celebrate the art of pop with Black Cedar, a unique ensemble of guitar, flute and cello that celebrates the beautiful and the unusual, creating programs that highlight new works by contemporary composers and rarely performed classical works.

This concert will include the 2015 work “Miscellaneous Music” by Durwynne Hsieh, commissioned by Black Cedar. In this work, Hsieh draws a connection with the art of Andy Warhol by inflecting his music with popular culture, much as Warhol did in his famed and at times jarring, portraits. Space is limited.

Tickets may be purchased online or at the Museum admission desk.
