Courtyard Classic Film Series: “Grease”

At the Crocker Art Museum

Back Event Sep 14, 2014 @ 6 pm

The highest-grossing musical of all time, “Grease” is an energetic film with infectiously catchy songs and an ode to young love that never gets old. Join Danny and Sandy with your own crew of T-Birds and Pink Ladies for a carnival ride back to those amazing summer nights! The screening takes place in the Museum’s E. Kendell Davis Courtyard, which opens at 7 p.m. for attendees to set up lawn chairs and blankets (seating is otherwise provided). Refreshments are available for purchase but outside food and drink is not permitted. There is a themed art project to complete while you wait for the movie to start, and Sacramento’s favorite film historian, Matías Bombal will make this a night under the stars you won’t want to miss.

Each ticket also includes admission to the Museum on the day of the screening. $5 Museum members, $6 students/youth, $8 nonmembers. Tickets may be purchased at crockerartmuseum.org, the Museum Admission Desk, or by calling (916) 808-1182. A three-course dinner with wine is available at the Crocker Cafe for $30 per person and requires 48-hour advance notice. To reserve your dinner, call (916) 808-1865.
