Agriculture commodities account for our region’s largest
export. The industry is a vital piece of our economic puzzle, not
only in terms of exports, but also the number of jobs it
produces, the restaurants to which it provides its bounty, and
the grocery stores which are stocked with items from our regional
fields. From production to processing to distribution to our
plates, the impact of agriculture surrounds us. In this time of
drought, we need to learn how the ag industry wisely and
judiciously uses the precious commodity of water that is in short
