Calling all coffee lovers: mark your calendar for a coffee inspired food & film experience! The Sacramento Food Film Festival is screening The Way Back to Yarasquin, a short film about the human & relational side of coffee as Mayra, a coffee grower and US coffee business owner, who connects her two homes across cultures through the bridge of coffee, family, and relationships. Because, coffee is about people.

Food Literacy Center is partnering with Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters & OneSpeed Pizza to offer guests coffee infused beverages & bites. Chris Tucker of Hook & Ladder Manufacturing Co. will create specialty coffee cocktails from Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters beans. Guests will also enjoy desserts from Chef Elaine Baker and nitrogen infused coffee dispensed from Chocolate Fish’s nitro trike!

Following the film, the subject of the film Mayra Orellana-Powell and the film’s producer Sarah Gerber will give guests the opportunity learn more about her story and the international coffee business.
