Revolving around Truvy’s Beauty Parlor in a small parish in Louisiana, Steel Magnolias is the story of a close-knit circle of friends. Young Shelby, who is diabetic, gets married and is soon pregnant, much to the disapproval of her mother M’Lynn, as pregnancy could be fatal for Shelby. “Steel Magnolias” tells the story of Shelby, M’Lynn, Truvy and their friends, making us laugh and cry as the realities of their lives unfold.
