The Synopsys Sacramento Regional STEM Fair is an all-day event to be held on March 14, 2015 at Folsom High School focused on scientific, technological, engineering, and mathematical (STEM) student achievement, career pathways and educational opportunities. 

Participation in the STEM Fair is open to students from 12 counties which include Amador, Butte, El Dorado, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Shasta, Solano, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba. Students in grades 6-12 are eligible to compete in 7 categories for awards and prizes, while students in grades 5-11 who would not like to compete, but rather showcase their projects are invited to enter into the novice category. 

Public hours are scheduled from 11AM-5PM, where attendees can view participant’s STEM projects and visit the College and Career Hands on Event, to gain knowledge about available degrees and a multitude of careers. The community is invited to attend the morning and afternoon workshops which include professional development, college admissions, financial planning and student excellence.
