Clayton Blakley Photo Exhibit

Benefiting Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Sacramento

Back Jun 3, 2017 @ 8 pm

Join us as we celebrate the photo exhibit of Comstock’s own, Clayton Blakley. Refreshments, wine and food will be served. The event will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Sacramento.

Clayton’s works have appeared on the cover of several regional magazines including Comstock’s, Natomas/N Magazine, and West Sacramento Magazine, as well as being included in the recently published “Inside Sacramento” book, in which he was identified as one of the area’s lnstagrammers to watch. One of Clayton’s big joys as a photographer is seeing his prints hung in the homes of friends and in area offices around the region.

Clayton’s full time occupation is vice president of business development for Comstock’s magazine, and he serves as a boardmember of American Institute of Architects Central Valley Chapter and RECON Nexus, as well as board chair for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Sacramento Chapter.

Clayton decided to combine two of his passions, photography and working to rid the world of blood cancers (and really all cancers), by selling his prints with proceeds benefitting LLS. Currently he is part of a team led by Clayton’s close friend David Conner, who is competing to become the “LLS 2017 Man of the Year” through a fund-raising campaign that concludes this June 17th. This campaign and the fund -raising efforts are being done in honor of the LLS Sacramento 2017 Girl of the Year, Emma, and 2017 Boy of the Year Fritz (AKA “Super Fritz”). Inspired by these kids, as well as motivated by the loss of his father (Norman Blakley) more than 2 years ago to Multiple Myeloma, Clayton has a goal of personally raising $7,500 toward the Conner team’s campaign goal of $50,000 (if this milestone is achieved a Research Grant will be named in Clayton’s father’s name at the request of Conner).
