Four nonfiction literary magazines, including Under the Gum Tree, based in Sacramento, CA, will join together in a collaborative multi-city live-streamed online reading.

The participating magazines are Under the Gum Tree, Hippocampus, based in Lancaster, PA, Creative Nonfiction, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., and River Teeth, based in Ashland, OH. Featuring readers from each of these four cities across the country, the event will happen locally in each city and it will be broadcast live online via YouTube Live.

Locals of Sacramento, Lancaster, Pittsburgh, and Ashland are invited to attend in person, and all are invited to attend virtually via the live broadcast. The streaming video will be available at underthegumtree.com/live.

Under the Gum Tree is published quarterly in digital and print, and accepts continuous submissions. The editors are looking to publish true stories about human interactions—with each other, with food, with music, with film—that are told in original and beautiful ways.
