On March 4, Sacramento’s incoming Entertainment and Sports Center welcomed its first pieces of steel in what, come 2016, with with the Sacramento Kings new practice facility.

Stockton-based Schuff Steel supplied and fabricated the beams with help from Pacifict Erectors of Rocklin. The steel was supplied and fabricated by Schuff Steel (Stockton, Calif.) Each column rises about 40 feet in the air, and the practice facility will use roughly 970 tons of steel to complete.

Ahhh - two more companies from outside Sacramento.

What happened to the promise that LOCAL companies and LOCAL people would be hired? The City of Sacramento was promised that this project would bring jobs TO THE CITY. When, exactly, will this come to pass?
