Movement as Medicine-Community Fundraiser Supporting Creative Movement

ImpactAVillage presents: Movement as Medicine-Community Fundraiser Supporting Creative Movement Saturday, September 28, 4:00pm-6:30pm, Sacramento, CA MORE INFO: Movement as Medicine is a fun, action-oriented community event inspiring people of all ages and abilities to engage in creative movement to foster good health and well-being. No prior experience is necessary to participate in free-form dance, gentle yoga, live drumming and expressive art. Proceeds benefit two local organizations that support creative movement in the Sacramento region – the Dance Movement Therapy program at Sutter Cancer Center Sacramento and the Sacramento 5Rhythms Dance Scholarship program.

“Movement as Medicine is born from timeless wisdom that we all need now. Creative movement nurtures the body, mind, and spirit,” said Bella Dreizler, founder of Body Joy and certified instructor of 5Rhythms dance. “It’s wonderful to see a community in motion come together in support of two great causes.”

“ImpactAVillage is a proud fiscal sponsor of Movement as Medicine because of its commitment to educating the local community about the importance of movement for optimum health,” said Lisa Wade, President of ImpactAVillage, a 501(c)3 non-profit that supports health and education in communities around the world.
