Zach Streight is executive director of the Sacramento chapter of the Positive Coaching Alliance, a national nonprofit organization that trains leaders, parents, coaches and athletes to develop the tools and skills to help student athletes be successful on and off the field. Zach earned his business degree from Cal Poly and his MBA from UCLA. He previously worked in management consulting, and sales and marketing. Growing up, Zach played soccer, baseball, basketball and tennis. Today, he coaches his son’s baseball team and daughter’s soccer team.
It has often been said that there is no better place to teach character than on the playing field, where sports can instill the life lessons that prepare young people for success. The most common lessons in sports concern resilience, teamwork, competitiveness, discipline, leadership and how to overcome fear and other adversity.
