Founded in 1980, Lilliput Children’s Services’ mission is to ensure a child’s opportunity for permanence in a safe and nurturing family. Throughout California, Lilliput is striving to ensure that when children enter foster care they do not languish there, an all-too-often scenario for foster youth. Lilliput has several core services — all designed with the purpose of improving the lives of our state’s most vulnerable children by ensuring they are part of a safe, nurturing and committed family. Lilliput completes about 500 FOSTER ADOPTIONS/YEAR – more than any other private agency in the state. About half of the adoptions each year are children being placed with kin - grandparents or somebody else they know.
