Through the support of people like you, the American Heart Association’s premiere black-tie event, the Heart and Storke Ball, continues to thrive – celebration our 24th Anniversary on March 22nd, 2014.

The Heart and Stroke Ball is an annual black-tie fundraising event attended by hundreds of prominent members of the medical community, as well as high-level executives and philanthropists from throughout the Sacramento region. The purpose of the Heart and Stroke Ball is to support the mission of the American Heart Association: to build healthier lives, free of cardio vascular diseases and stroke. The primary focus of the Heart and Stroke Ball is to raise awareness of and research funds for heart disease and congenital heart defects in children. Congenital Heart defects kill more children than any other birth defect, and heart disease in the primary cause of death for all Americans. With this staggering statistic, it is vital to educate our youth on healthy eating habits, and to encourage physical activity as a necessity in early childhood. The American Heart Association funds numerous programs in o rder to achieve this goal.
