The Day of the Dead Celebration, also known as Dia de Los Muertos, is an example of this as it was proclaimed an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
As part of a collaborative, ongoing effort to improve wellness and education in Northern California communities, the Crocker Art Museum and Western Health Advantage have joined forces to ensure that fine art experiences are accessible to everyone. Pay What You Wish Sundays, which are held the 3rd Sunday of each month at the Crocker, give visitors a chance to choose their own admission price and explore the Museum’s galleries.
