Note from the Festival Director:
The 2022 California Capital Documentary Film Festival was our inaugural year, and we were very happy with the way things turned out. Some of the films had capacity audiences and many of the filmmaker discussions were lively, intelligent, and enjoyed by all. We would like to give a very special THANK YOU to all the sponsors as we could not have done this without your support, and we look forward to continuing to work with you in 2023. Thank you!
We have selected 59 films, 33 Shorts (a short is a film under 45 minutes) 26 long-form docs (anywhere from 55 mins to 1.40).
Of the above, we will screen films from 23 different countries around the world. The countries are Belgium, Poland, Greece (2), Austria, Nepal, Ukraine, Sweden, Brazil (2), Argentina, Italy, Indonesia, Turkey(2), India, France, Germany (2), Iran (2), Spain, Palestine, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Slovenia, and China (2).
