Sons of Champlin is headed by Two-time GRAMMY® award winner, Bill Champlin who is known the world over as the soulful singer/keyboardist of the iconic jazz-pop band Chicago. His featured spots on the hits “Look Away” and “Hard Habit to Break” are among his mainstream highlights with the legendary act. He has co-written songs for many prolific artists, including the hit song “After the Love is Gone” for the iconic band Earth, Wind & Fire as well as “Turn Your Love Around” for the legendary George Benson, both of which catapulted him to GRAMMY® status. His band “The Sons of Champlin” has long been a favorite Soul/Funk/ R&B act on the West Coast scene.

Mingo Fishtrap blends punchy horns and gritty Memphis grooves with N’awlin’s funk to create sounds steeped in both modern pop and sixties soul, that transcend both era and genre. Audiences can always expect spontaneity and heart from a Mingo set, along with a fresh take on songs from their extensive catalog and a twist on a few soul standards. The band has shared stages with the likes of Trombone Shorty, Parliament, Sting, Little Feat, Earth Wind & Fire, Robert Randolph, Galactic and more.
