The Sacramento Hotel Association is continuing its community service activities at its second annual Farm-to-Fork Fall Fundraiser as part of its The Hospitality Industry Helping in the Community programFor 2017, the fall fundraiser will benefit two local organizations that are working to address homelessness in our community — Next Move and Volunteers of America.

The Fall Fundraiser features:

  • Festive Farm-to-Fork Food Stations from local hotels 
  • Craft Beer Tastings from local brewers

  • Silent Auction of gift basket and prize packages

  • Selfie Photo Booth

About the Beneficiary Organizations for 2017
The net proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward specific programs of the two beneficiary organizations to address homelessness in our community.

NEXT MOVE Family Shelter – Next Move, formerly Sacramento Emergency Housing Center, started in 1972. Next Move’s mission is to assist families with children and individuals toward self-reliance. The fundraiser will benefit Next Move’s Family Shelter, serving 17 families with children each night. www.nextmovesacramento.org

VOLUNTEERS OF AMERICA | Veterans Family Housing – Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada’s Veteran Family Housing program is renovating an apartment complex, which was built in the 1950s. The fundraiser will assist with this major renovation. These updated apartment units will provide housing for homeless families with a veteran head of household for either short-term stabilization or long-term supported housing. www.voa-ncnn.org
