In partnership with America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, the Sacramento Public Library & with NeighborWorks, Food Literacy Center will host the Fruit-to-Root Food Literacy Fair, a free community event inspired by Chef Barber’s best-selling book, “The Third Plate.”
The Fruit-to-Root Food Literacy Fair will include:
- Farmers Market
- Food trucks
- Cooking demonstrations
- Music
- Interactive, hands-on activities
- Art & Education
- Zero waste
Local chefs and food trucks will transform their menus and create
their interpretation of a Third Plate dish using our region’s
most sustainable ingredients.
Tickets will be available starting August 3
$55 for pre-sale, and $65 for any purchases made after August 7.
