Here in America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, it’s safe to say that food plays a large role in our holiday traditions. Whether it’s making a family recipe, enjoying a meal with friends or simply shopping for that special ingredient, food brings us together, keeps up close and gives the holidays special meaning.

No one knows this better than Sacramento’s own Food Literacy Center (FLC), so on December 20th, FLC will be throwing their very own Holiday Farmers’ Market for its students before they leave for break. 

During this mini market, kids in Food Literacy Center’s after-school program will “shop” for their favorite fruits and veggies from over 7,500 donated pieces of produce, compile recipes and create their own cookbooks.
