Archival Gallery will present Miles Hermann and Mariellen Layne, September 2-25, 2021. The Gallery will be open for a Second Saturday public reception on September 11 at 5PM.
Miles Hermann presents “Cause and Effect: The Art of Louis and Miles Hermann,” a show that allows Hermann to explore his father’s creative influence, and a direct line to what the artist creates today. This exhibition showcases works from the late 90’s in magic marker on board by Louis Hermann (father), and current oil paintings by Miles Hermann (son).
Mariellen Layne shares her signature mosaic works in “Orbs,” an exhibition featuring spheres specifically designed for gallery and indoor display. These mosaics are comprised of glass, smalti, tile, metal, and found objects. Layne created these works to symbolize the nature of infinity, new beginnings, celestial bodies, and the planet Earth.
Gallery visitors are welcome during normal business hours with no appointment needed, and must wear a mask or face covering when indoors for the safety of staff and guests. Click here for more information. Please direct all questions to gallery@archivalgallery.com.
