Morningsun Herb Farm’s 20th Annual Open House

Morningsun Herb Farm is celebrating 20 years of business with our annual open house on Saturday, May 2. We have talks planned all day long, beautiful gardens to wander through, an herbal food tasting, and terrific vendors selling herbal products and locally produced products.  

10:00 a.m.: Basil: An Amazing Variety! Learn about all of the great varieties, their flavor differences and how to use them with Martha Scheer, co-chair of the Northern California Unit of the Herb Society of America

10:45 a.m.: Five Essential Herbs Every Gard with Ro di Salvi Moonshadows Herbals

11:30 a.m.: Drought Tolerant Landscaping with Maureen Clark, owner of Bright Garden Designs, specializing in drought-tolerant landscapes

12:30 p.m.: Living with the Seasons, the Sugi Way with Amy Erez of Sugi Health

1:15 p.m.: Beautiful Edibles — How to Include Perennial Herbs and Edible Flowers in Your Landscape with Stefani Bittner, owner of Homestead Design Collective and author of The Beautiful Edible Garden

2:15 p.m.: Herbs for Health with Sage Trucano of Sage Dreams Herbal Creations

3:00 p.m.: Moon and Stars Aromatherapy/Creative Therapy: Learn about the magic of essential oils that correspond to the phases of the moon from Anna Wingfield (Napa Valley au Naturel). Then learn about the art of hand-block printing from Carol Frechette (2NFrom) and make your own sachet from Carol’s block-printed pouches
