Placer Land Trust Calling All Artists

Back Event Apr 2, 2015 @ 9 am

Placer Land Trust is offering a special opportunity just for artists to join us for an “en plein air” event. Bring your paint, brushes, canvas and other supplies and spend the morning at our Taylor Ranch Preserve on Thursday, April 2.This Preserve has unusual and interesting rock formations, the gently flowing Coon Creek, and spectacular panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada foothills and Sacramento Valley if you take a short hike up the trail.

This is a wilderness outing in a natural setting: there are no restrooms, benches, or water available. Please plan ahead and bring what you will need. We suggest you wear sturdy shoes, clothing appropriate for the weather conditions. Bring water and a brown bag lunch or snacks to enjoy. You might also want your camera!

We have a “leave no trace” policy – if you pack it in, please pack it out. Sorry, no dogs are allowed on our Preserves, unless service animals. Participants must sign a release of liability which is available on our website. Please print and bring it with you.

We are asking for $10 minimum donation per person. Your donation helps expand our trail & recreation system. We accept cash or checks at the event, or you can donate online via credit card at http://www.placerlandtrust.org/donate/

The gate opens at 9am and closes at 12:30 giving you 3.5 hours of uninterrupted painting time on our private preserve. Directions will be emailed after registration. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, April 1 at noon.

If you have any questions, please contact Janet at janet.voris@placerlandtrust.org or call the office at 530-887-9222.
