Preservation Sacramento Historic HomeTour

Back Event Sep 17, 2017 @ 10 am

Tour Sacramento’s Alkali Flat neighborhood. Our first residential historic district to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places (1984), Alkali Flat is bounded by the Southern Pacific railroad tracks, 7th, I, and 12th streets. This tour will explore Alkali Flat’s collection of 19th century residential buildings and recently competed infill projects surrounding the district.

The tour starts at the Preservation Sacramento booth at J. Neely Johnson Park (11th and F streets), where you’ll receive a program and a wristband—needed for entry into buildings on the tour. In conjunction with the home tour, there will be a free street fair with local artisans, nonprofits, and musicians.
