The Sacramento Food Film Festival has soul! ‘Soul of a Banquet’ chronicles the journey of Cecilia Chiang who is credited with introducing Americans to authentic Chinese cuisine after opening The Mandarin in San Francisco in 1961. Frank Fat’s Executive Chef Mike Lim will create a 3 course dinner inspired by the authentic Chinese cuisine featured in the documentary.
Frank Fat’s has been a Farm to Fork establishment in Sacramento
for over 76 years, sourcing their food locally from General
Produce since opening its doors. The two restaurants will come
together. Kid chefs from Food Literacy Center’s after-school
programs will help prepare and plate the chef’s creations and
introduce the first course. They can’t wait to show guests how
silk squash smart they are in the kitchen!
Please note, VIP guests will have the opportunity to make an authentic Chinese dish during a cooking class with Executive Chef Mike Lim prior to dinner.
