Help foster youth shine at United Way’s 14th Annual Women in Philanthropy Luncheon on Oct. 22 at Arden Hills Country Club. The event will include a fashion show, gourmet lunch and presentations by local current and former foster youth who have participated in United Way’s financial stability programs United Way’s Women in Philanthropy members also will discuss their work supporting financial literacy courses and a matched savings program for foster youth.

United Way’s Women in Philanthropy brings local women together to help local foster youth. Women in Philanthropy members are first responders in raising funds for United Way to provide financial literacy courses and matched savings accounts designed specifically for foster youth. Members also hold drives and provide trainings. Women in Philanthropy is part of United Way’s team of companies, schools, government and individuals across the region, state and country making a collective impact in the areas of education, financial stability and health in Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento and Yolo counties.
