The Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SHCC) has plenty to celebrate with the new President/CEO at the helm; successful partnerships within the city, and helping over 650 businesses access the Hispanic Market. The SHCC will celebrate the 43rd Annual Awards and Recognition Gala on February 6th, 2015 at Sacramento State University Union Ballroom with the announcement of the “Salud! Awards”.
The SHCC Annual Awards Gala will recognize the businesses and individuals that have excelled in serving the region with the ”Salud! Awards”. Salud! is a common Spanish toast “cheers” or “to good health”. On this night, we will toast to the accomplishments, contributions and successes of our business and community leaders with more than 700 business professionals, elected officials, and community members that join us for the black tie affair.
The 43nd Annual Business Awards and Gala will take place 6-11pm on Friday, February 6, 2015.
Sacramento State, University Ballroom on 6000 J Street, Sacramento.

The Salud! President’s Award is presented to a person or organization that has created an impact in our region through economic development, collaboration with multiple entities, and community engagement. This year, we are proud to present the Salud! President’s Award to the Sacramento Republic FC, who bridged across all demographics through inclusive marketing efforts, and showed that their indomitable spirit truly made them Sacramento’s team.
We are proud to have them as members of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and of their accomplishments in their inaugural year. The Sac Republic has partnered with the SHCC over the past year with outreach efforts, hosting events, offering donations and business support to ensure the Latino community is an integral part of the Sac Republic audience.
President Alexander Gonzalez contributions to Sacramento State and our region are vast and numerous. Through his leadership new programs were developed and launched, community partnerships expanded, and put Sacramento State in the spotlight. He has been a strong, innovative leader in our region, in education, and in the Latino community. At the end of the 2014-2015 academic year, President Gonzalez will retire leaving a proud legacy intact…it is with great excitement that we present him with the inaugural Salud! Legacy Award.
