CALpital Connections 2018:

Going from Local to Global - Tapping International Markets from Greater Sacramento

Back Jun 7, 2018 @ 5:30 pm

The Berkeley-Haas Alumni Network for Greater Sacramento, in partnership with the Northern California World Trade Center, is hosting its second annual CALpital Connections conference with this year’s focus on international business and how to go from local to global.

The highlight of the evening will be a moderated panel discussion featuring local experts elaborating on their experiences in the international marketplace. Gain insight into expanding your business internationally, the resources that are available, and how to better anticipate and prepare for challenges that may arise.

Don Whitaker, who established the first local free trade zone, and Margaret Wong, founder of the California Center and McWong International, will share insights into exporting products and services, and the resources available to companies interested in starting to export. Lisa Henslee will share insights into VSP Global’s evaluation process for identifying new international markets, while Drisha Leggit will explain why her global company Anpac Biomedical selected Sacramento as their US headquarters.
