Placer Veterans Stand Down

Back May 24, 2016

Join us for our 2016 Placer Stand down. The original Stand Down was designed for homeless Veterans and modeled after the “Stand Down” concept used during the Vietnam War to provide a safe retreat for units returning from combat operations.  All Veterans and their families are invited!

We provide FREE medical, dental, optical, including free glasses on the first two days of the event. There is also hearing testing, animal care for dogs and cats, including pet supplies. We offer free legal services, employment assistance, housing assistance, VA Benefit assistance, and DMV assistance. During the event, we serve three meals a day and offer free new and used clothing.

Transportation to and from the event is provided upon request when you pre-register. Optional overnight stays are available.
