Empty Bowls is back! River City Food Bank’s signature fundraising event returns for its 13th year. The event is designed to raise awareness for the fight against hunger in Sacramento County. Everyone is encouraged to attend the Empty Bowls Soup Supper and the Empty Bowls Soup Luncheon.

The Empty Bowls Soup Supper features gourmet soup, wine, appetizers, breads and dessert from Classique Catering. Luncheon guests will enjoy a soup meal from great local restaurants.

Restaurant sponsors for this year’s luncheon include Café Bernardo’s, Chops Steak Seafood & Bar, Grange Restaurant & Bar, Lucca’s Restaurant & Bar, Mother, Petra Greek, Scott’s Seafood on the River, Vizcaya, Zocalo and more.

All attendees are invited to take home one of more than 2,000 beautiful handmade bowls donated by professional potters, glass artists, wood turners and students as a reminder of the many who face an empty bowl each day.
