Established in 1997, MarketOne Builders celebrates 25 years in business as a leading force in today’s construction industry. Managed by partners Tom Ford and James Fitzgerald, the company is licensed in five western states, but currently focuses on Sacramento and the North and East Bay Areas. Complementing the company’s downtown Sacramento headquarters, a new Napa office supports their continued growth in that area.
Specializing in private commercial projects, MarketOne emphasizes design-build, design-assist and other integrated preconstruction services. Projects span the commercial office, life science, technology/data center, industrial, hospitality and multifamily markets. Their project teams, committed to collaboration and transparency, combine solid building fundamentals with technology to create predictable outcomes.

Tom Ford, director of operations, notes that “every employee has a passion to have fun, be solutions-oriented, do the right thing always and continue learning.” The company’s strong management team has decades of experience in complex projects throughout Northern California. In addition to Ford and Fitzgerald, the leadership team is Elease Terry, John Snider, Blake Griffin, Jim Cuttle, Wendy Nelson and Dylan DePaulo.
In 25 years, several MarketOne projects have enhanced the Sacramento community, including the B Street Theatre, Downtown Commons (DOCO) Retail Mall, 1200 R Street, 731 K Renovation, 660 J Street Renovation, the Jackson Laboratory West Coast Facility, Bogle Cold Storage Warehouse, FEMA Distribution Center and Sacramento Kings Corporate Offices. Under the leadership of Jim Cuttle, director of multifamily, MarketOne is currently under construction on the 1208 Q Lofts and the Residences at Stanly Ranch in Napa (an Auberge community).
