About 700 people work at its Rancho Cordova headquarters that serves as an R&D facility, while the company employs nearly 2,000 globally.
Born out of the memory division of Intel where it thrived for decades, the company was acquired by SK hynix and established as a standalone subsidiary in late 2021.

Solidigm recently launched an AI Central Lab near its headquarters and also the world’s first cold-plate-cooled eSSD for fanless server designs. Their products are small in scale — from the size of a deck of playing cards to smaller — and they use less power and require less space in a data center environment compared to other storage solutions.
