Launched from Intel’s NAND flash memory business in Folsom, Solidigm is an AI infrastructure company with deep roots in the Sacramento region and headquarters in Rancho Cordova.

Solidigm relies on the education and talent of many Sacramento State graduates, including Pam Tenorio, Nora Thomas, Daseul Barrett, Muneeb Saeed and Louis Grobbelaar, each with a B.S. in Business Administration, and James Shelby with an MBA.

Tenorio, chief of staff for strategic planning and marketing, says, “My Sacramento State coursework and activities helped develop skills in strategic thinking, communication, presentations and relationship-building — all foundational in my career roles.”
Thomas, program manager for the office of the CEO, agrees, saying, “Business school at Sacramento State helped shape the leadership, teamwork and collaborative mindset that has guided my career for more than two decades. The experience taught me how to bring people together around a common goal, build strong partnerships and successfully lead complex initiatives in fast-paced business environments.”
Barrett, a senior supply chain analyst who manages relationships for global customers, says, “The Business Honors Program and supply chain coursework provided the analytical, collaborative and global business foundation I rely on every day.”
Saeed, senior finance director, recognizes the strong foundation in core business principles Sac State provided, helping him develop leadership and communication skills. “Refining these abilities alongside a diverse faculty and student body broadened my perspective and has proven invaluable throughout my professional career,” he says.
Grobbelaar, customer operations manager, contends that Sac State deepened his understanding of leadership and the importance of taking initiative. “Through collaborative experiences, I realized that meaningful progress often begins with the willingness to step forward, take responsibility and support others in achieving shared goals,” he says.
Shelby, senior finance director, notes that one of his most valuable lessons from Sac State was working with people from diverse backgrounds. “The university’s rich diversity prepared me to lead inclusive teams, appreciate different perspectives and build meaningful relationships — skills that have been invaluable throughout my career,” he says.
