Headquartered in Santa Ana, First American Title Insurance Company has become the leading provider of title insurance and settlement services. The company’s roots trace all the way back to 1889. The company’s Sacramento Commercial Division office supports commercial real estate clients locally and connects them with First American’s resources for transactions throughout California and nationwide.
“First American combines experienced commercial escrow professionals with the strength of a national underwriting team,” says Norma Farr, national account director. “We help navigate complex title issues, coordinate challenging closings and develop practical solutions tailored to each transaction. Our clients benefit from local knowledge, personal attention and the resources to address any obstacles early.”
Farr, who has been with First American for 25 years, is part of the team that includes Lesley Kaufman, senior commercial escrow officer, and Mary Louise Goodwin, commercial escrow assistant.
Kaufman, with First American for 14 years, leads the commercial escrow process, coordinating with title and underwriting. She brings a steady, solutions-oriented approach to complex transactions. Goodwin keeps the details organized and communication moving from opening through closing. Farr builds client relationships, identifies transaction needs and connects clients with the right title, escrow and underwriting resources.
“Together, we help clients navigate challenges and move toward a successful closing,” says Farr. “We rely on the tremendous communication, teamwork and trust we’ve established with each other.”
“The most rewarding part of this work is earning a client’s trust and knowing they can count on us when a transaction gets complicated.”— Norma Farr, National Account Director
This team also relies on responsiveness, resourcefulness and follow-through. Kaufman brings experience and a steady approach to complicated closings, Goodwin combines attention to detail with an understanding of development, and Farr brings strong relationships and a hands-on commitment to helping clients find answers.
“The most rewarding part of this work is earning a client’s trust and knowing they can count on us when a transaction gets complicated,” says Farr. “We stay involved, work through the challenges together and share in the satisfaction of getting our clients’ transactions across the finish line.”
Looking ahead, the team focuses on deepening client relationships and supporting their commercial transactions, including agricultural and portfolio properties.
“We’re committed to consistently delivering a superior level of personalized service, collaboration and attention to detail to our clients,” concludes Farr.
