Reinvent Stockton Foundation

IMPROVING STOCKTON THROUGH SERVICE

Back Sponsored Nov 16, 2022

Reinvent Stockton Foundation expands opportunity and builds hope by attracting resources to Stockton and investing in the city’s people. One of its flagship programs, Stockton Service Corps (SSC), is a pillar of that mission.

Established in 2019 as a place-based initiative, SSC’s mission is to address Stockton’s most critical issues through service. They work to create pathways from service to workforce and community leadership. SSC supports service organizations in Stockton and engages corps members to address three initiative areas: Cradle to Career (Education), Climate Action and Social Justice. To learn more about Stockton Service Corps, visit StocktonServiceCorps.org.

With more than 135 service corps members to date, SSC continues to add capacity to community organizations, develop corps members through leadership development and build pathways for service alumni. Erika Hermosillo, SSC’s director, says, “We’re eager to continue building capacity alongside our community here in Stockton. Service is a catalytic experience that helps solve local problems and invests in people.”
