HENSEL PHELPS

Back Sponsored Aug 31, 2026

Hensel Phelps, one of the nation’s largest and most significant general contractors, relies on top talent for success.

Project Engineer Maddie Yee, with Hensel Phelps for four years, loves the collaborative environment of construction, with teams growing together, developing new skills and achieving more collectively. She also enjoys seeing a project through from concept to completion.

“Diverse teams bring a strong sense of teamwork and accomplishment, sharing different perspectives as we work together to achieve the same goals.”— Ana Chavez, Area Superintendent

“With Hensel Phelps, I’ve been able to grow professionally while contributing to meaningful projects with lasting impact,” she says. “The company also emphasizes mentoring and developing future leaders, and I have had the opportunity to support and guide newer team members while continuing to learn and grow alongside them. I’ve also had the chance to work alongside many talented women who bring diverse perspectives, expertise and leadership to the team.”

Ana Chavez, an area superintendent whose been with Hensel Phelps for five years, finds great reward in being actively involved in developing and improving our communities as well as the chance to further her skills, professional relationships and leadership capabilities with every project. “Hensel Phelps’ structured and rigorous training has been key to developing my skills and accelerating my career path,” she says. “I have built strong relationships with trade partners and within our own team and love seeing more women join the construction workforce. Diverse teams bring a strong sense of teamwork and accomplishment, sharing different perspectives as we work together to achieve the same goals.”

Vanessa De La Rosa has never experienced a boring day at work, noting that her career is nothing short of exciting, with every challenge an opportunity to increase knowledge about construction and come out of it stronger. “From my internship to now as an office engineer in my third year with the company, I have been entrusted with immense responsibility,” she explains. “I have also made long-lasting friendships and that support means everything. I’ve always had strong female role models in life and that has continued at Hensel Phelps. I see more and more women here and can’t help but feel a sense of pride in that.”
