The Capital Region has two rivers flowing through it, the Sacramento River and the American River, which are integral to the region’s unique quality of life.

Richard Rich, City of Sacramento Railyards and Riverfront Project Manager, recently shared plans to upgrade the riverfront beginning in Old Sacramento, referring to the rivers as vital “cultural assets” for our region. The City of West Sacramento has also been investing heavily in its riverfront activation.
