Khalil Bourgoub is a former marketing assistant at Comstock’s. A Sacramento State alumnus, Khalil wrote a music column for the State Hornet where he would curate playlists for specific occasions. Outside of work you can find him at a local music venue or the Bark Park Downtown dog park.
The last weekend of the festival featured a concert series at Capitol Mall headlined by Japanese Breakfast and Gregory Porter and featured a few local bands.
The alternative Southern rap group Nappy Roots and indie rock band The Shins are playing Sacramento on the same day, both celebrating two decades of cultural influence.
The Grammy-nominated record producer will play the block party series at Midtown Sacramento’s MARRS Building.
